Playing Dalton Trumbo…
Some of you have asked if I have any video from the production of Trumbo: Red White and Blacklisted we did at IWU last week. Unfortunately we could not tape the production for obvious reasons.
However, I did a rehearsal tape on my own of a couple of Trumbo’s letters and here is one of them. It runs longish, about 12 minutes, but I will say that his words are well worth the time.
I think it’s good for all of us to occasionally look back on some of the darker times in this Nation’s history. This is an interesting time to revisit the Blacklist. Trumbo himself put it this way…”The Blacklist was a time of evil, and no one on either side who survived it came through untouched by evil.”
